Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Hey, I just had a thought that I wanted to go dumpster diving! So I did what any beginner would do, I did a search on Google for baton rouge dumpster diving and came upon this site. At the top their is a link to meetup.com. I did a search on their for Baton Rouge and came to this site. It looks like their are a lot more things in Baton Rouge than I thought their was. Just thought I would share this, Steven P. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... However, when he tries to set up the PPPoE he cannot find the concentrator. Aside from ISPs that give out the router information instead of using the concentrator, what issues could be tripping him up? He has double checked the equipment. He is running a Debian, and it was fully functional on dial up. His ISP says the setup is correct on their end (of course), and that they do not support Linux, which he expected. Any hints on things to google for, or settings to check would be much appreciated. My friend is and old hacker, about sixty, with a son serving in Iraq. He has been around coumputers since they used tubes, but Linux, and Debian are fairly recent adoptions for him, 2+ years. He is more of a programmer than an a technician. ===== Warmest Regards, Doug Riddle http://www.dougriddle.com http://fossile-project.sourceforge.net/ http://www.libranet.com -- "Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the Peoples' Liberty Teeth." - George Washington -- __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
