A proto-hacker in the early days discovered that a plastic toy whistle
included in a box of cereal would cause unexpected results when blown into a
working telephone handset. The tone of the whistle was 2600Mhz.

Very famous underground hacker magazine...  well you can get it at 
Book-A-Million in Hammond so i guess it's not that underground anymore,
