Mondo seems to be a very nice tool. I plan to play with it more soon, but if
you are looking for something quick and dirty, use partimage on a Knoppix
disk.

Just boot a Knoppix disk, mount a network drive, and run partimage in a
shell. It will make a compressed disk image of a single partition and store
on the mounted network drive.

I'm not sure if it will back up an entire physical disk ("/dev/hda") as
opposed to a specific partition ("/dev/hda1").

Subject: [brlug-general] hard drive image

Does anybody know of a good hard drive backup that can image my hard
drive? Mondo-Rescue seems to be to mess with the kernel to much.
