I don't remember if Steven's question was ever answered or not. It is a project that intends on replacing windows and duplicating all of the APIs etc. so that there is a free alternative. I forget the name of the project but they say they are about 60% of the way done. I will try and remember the name of the project and post the URL. Anyway, on the left was windows and on the right was the non windows machine both running the maze program.
