Hummpphhh.... You should try living where I lived in CA for three years. 
 1980 census showed 560 people.  2 1/2 hours from the nearest 
Walmart/shopping center/etc.  Or better yet, I lived on the Wichita 
Mountains Wildlife Refuge for a year.  Now that is the middle of 
nowhere.  The largest thing around in 2 hours any direction was Fort 
Sill.  Maybe 1000 people there.   Go a little further and you could hit 
Oklahoma City.  There were < 200 people within a 25 mile radius of me. 
 I woke up in the morning to wild buffalo roaming the yard.  I enjoyed 
the peace and quiet though.  I would go back if I could make a living there.

Anyway, I could send the books off with the guy that I work with and you 
could make arrangements with him to pick them up if you want?  Columbia 
is closer than Livingston, LA.
