I know I haven't been around lately and haven't been able to go to any
of the meetings. In fact I still haven't met anyone in person. However
I have an idea for the EXPO. Since there will be computers with linux
installed for demonstrations (I'm assuming), why not install 3ddesktop
on one of them and give the real cool demonstration of it. It'll add to
some of the eye-candy. I have it installed on JAMD Linux 0.0.6 (RH 9
based) and actually make good use of it. I think that showing the
flexibility of Linux would be good for the demonstrations. 3ddesktop
would show that even the basic graphical interface is extremely
flexible. It also makes visual the multiple desktops that are available
in X. I don't know about you, but the last time I tried to explain what
the virtual desktops were to a Windows user, it took forever b/c it's
something they have never used. However with 3ddesktop, it is something
they can see easier than if you tried to explain that when you click
this button it goes to Desktop 4 or Desktop 5.
