There is no sales tax and shipping is $3.65 if you go with USPS. $5.41 if you go UPS. If you order $40 worth of stuff (not hard to do with computer books), UPS shipping is free. So, lets see... Barnes and nobles: Book list 39.99 - 20% = 31.92 + 8% sales tax = $34.55 (+ 1 hour of my time to go to the store @ average consulting rate of $60/hour = $94.55) Bookpool: Book list $39.99 - 28% = 28.75 + S&H = $32.40 Book list $39.99 - 28% = 28.75 + S&H = $34.16 Bookpool is STILL cheaper! So, I hold the usuall argument of "It is not worth it to buy online after the shipping and handling" to be null and void. My time is worth money (especially the last couple of years) so it is well worth it for me to buy online. And it gets dropped conveniently at my door. Shannon
