I've seen external ZIP 100 drives as low as $25, which makes them
tempting. I paid about that each for a couple of internal ZIP 250
drives. I have both CD-RW and ZIP 250 drives in this box.

Seems to me hard to beat a home built or local shop clone for a
desktop. I like to putter with the hardware. I've stayed away from
laptops for years, though I did get one for my wife. With fingers as
clumsy as sausages I need a full size keyboard. With old eyes
beginning to fade, my body is out of warranty as of this month, I
need at least a 15" screen for a laptop to be usable, since I do
largely word processing and need to have a decent amount of text
on the screen as well as type large enough for me to read.. When
I see one like that which can dual boot Linux and some other OS,
or even just Linux, I'd be tempted.

Choppy
