Regedit hell. Oh man. I feel for you.

Uninstall Norton, and load install AVG free antivirus
software:
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
(This is a great product, I have used it for years on
my windows laptop. Yes, I use Windows too. Until the
rest of the world stops smoking crack I have to
support it and wade through it at times. Besides,
darn it, Myst won't run on Linux, and my marriage
would not be safe if Myst, Riven, and Myst 3, were not
available a few times a year.)

FIREWALL?
These guys have a free firewall:
http://www.zonelabs.com/

I want you to know, I consider this enabling an
addict. So don't let me down. Step away from the
Microsoft crack. Put down the pipe and live free (as
in Open Source, and often, free as in beer).

If the geeks of the world did not keep fixing the
broken M$ [EMAIL PROTECTED], then more people would be looking for
other options.

Gee I miss a command prompt, telnet, and pine. Of
course, I had not met NetHack, Doom, and 3-D Chess
back then. Sadly, you can never go home again. Mom
still lives there, and think's you're twelve. Having
someone ask if you've brushed your teeth gets old when
you keep the darn things in a jar.

I like that tag! A Debian fan! You should take a
look at Libranet as well.

As for AOL. I still keep an account on AOL - had one
since '95 or '96. It was cool to start with, but now
it is just the cheapest way for me to keep my college
and just post college kids in touch with each other
and me, not that they ever write! Well, unless they
need money. But hey, they didn't move back in!

God luck, God bless.
