We need to put the government back in the hand of the merchants, the farmers, the craftsmen, and the working man. Do you know why they call the election process a draft? Elected officials used to have things to do besides accept checks from interest groups. You had to drag them to Washington, kicking and screaming the whole way. Last year in New Hampshire they elected a working mother (working as a waitress in a resturaunt) to their state senate. Those voters got what they voted for. When was the last time we got that?
