There's a project out there that does the same thing. I made a CD of open source apps for M$-Windoze a while back. It's in the library if you want to check it out. I believe it had Open Office, lots of development tools, some Cygwin (the full install is 1GB+), Mozilla, and a few games. But like all open source, it became obsolete pretty quick. A better solution would be to write a script that points to the latest versions of a bunch of popular open source software packages, downloads them, and then makes an ISO for easy burning. Kinda like jigdo for Debian. Hmmm, I guess jigdo could be used to do this... I really need to stop coming up with project ideas I never implement... ;) John Hebert
