Has anyone looked at Mepis (www.mepis.org) yet? It is the distro that I was trying to download over the last several days and finally got copies that match the md5sum's. Mepis is three distros in one. It's a rescue CD that also contains Qtparted which is a NICE partition management, creation, resizing package that will also resize NTFS partitions. It's a live CD in the vein of Knoppix/Morphix and it's a set of installation ISO's for loading directly to the hard drive. I installed it on my main machine at home during lunch which took about 20 minutes. It is Debian based (yeaaaahhhh), had all the latest and greatest libs for KDE3.X and is running the 2.4.22 kernel I believe. The second CD is a HUGH collection of .deb's that one can install via apt-get, Synaptic, Kpackage, etc once the distro is installed to the HD. John, while I am typing this I am burning a set of CD's for the LUG library and will deliver them to you at the meeting Monday evening.
