I'm not sure that I would use SSH over a more traditional VPN solution if I wanted remote users to connect to local file and printer servers. For one or two users accessing one server then it is feasible, but anything beyond that may be a pain. Also, note that browsing is probably going to be broken unless the remote server is a WINS server and you do the port mapping right.
