Hi All, Hope this link works. It was interesting. I know, Red Hat has introduced "Fedora." I found that for a "Gnubie", Red Hat's documentation was a bit to vague for me. I came from M$ DOS 6.22 and WINBLOWS 3.1 at the time and tried RH 6.0. I could never get it to work for me and I got very little "help" from the former LUG I was in. I got frustrated and went back to M$ (ugggghhhh!)
Since then, I've joined the BRLug and have found y'all to be a good bunch and very helpful to anyone not understanding something. :-) I've gone to Knoppix (Debian) and have ordered Mepis (Debian) to check out. Knoppix's screens are a bit to "dark" for me. I guess it's a "Wagner" theme, being German and all. It's dark and foreboding. Mepis's screen shot's were a brighter blue and easier for this 57 year old guy to see. I'm eagar to see what it brings both in package and graphics. Say, it there a way to "build" a screen that comes up with something different to log in by and "hides" the "post" features that Linux shows as it loading? I have some "ideas" for a new screen I'd like to have, but don't know how to go about doing that. Help? Suggestions? Thanks in advanced, "Capn' Buck" -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
