Subject: RE: [brlug-general] what distro does everyone use for
development?
I might give that a try. If it has apt-get, it doesn't matter which
build I start with, just do an apt-get dist-upgrade and I'll be rightr
back on the bleeding edge, where its fun. Yep!
The problem I am having with Xinerama is that X just ignores that
option. I have written the config file by hand (and have done so many
times). I am thinking of maybe upgrading to Xfree 4.3.
Mepis comes with Xfree 4.3
Does mepis have its own sources for apt-get, or does it use debians?
I think that it uses the Debian sources but am not 100% sure as I am at
work and can't access my sources.list.
One other thing I forget to mention, hard disk installation is a SNAP,
boot up the CD, log in as root on the desktop, click on the installation wizard
and about 4 clicks and 15 minutes later you are done. Read all about it here:
