Trying to keep a current DVD sounds hopelessly impractical. Hardly a day goes by when some package somewhere is not improved some way. The Debian way of using free software so that anyone can make a mirror works better than ROMs. Unless they only burn DVDs for each sale, they will have plenty of archives, kind of like AOL CDs.
