Position Title:  Information Technology Specialist (Part Time/Temp)

Hours: 16-24 hrs/week

Job Summary:  Aids IT Manager in the completion of Daily tasks.  This
includes answering and resolving trouble tickets, that are assigned to this
individual, the configuration of new PC's, troubleshooting minor pc problems
(email, printers, etc.).  Researches

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1)      Completes assigned tickets from perldesk system:
60%
?        Completing tickets assigned to this individual will be the primary
task for this individual.  The scope of these tickets will range from
printer problems to minor connectivity issues.
?        Ensure all computers are routinely inspected for necessary hardware
and software upgrades every month

2)      Handles minor to intermediate interrupt driven issues:
20%
Interrupt driven issues are defined as calls that are not entered in as a
ticket but cause the IT staff to break away from an existing problem or
project.
?        Part time employee will handle the incoming problems that users may
have throughout the day.  This will allow the IT manager to work on
large-scale projects.
?        Problems that go beyond the scope of intermediate interrupt driven
problems will be handled by the IT manager and the IT support specialist.
3)      System Administration
10%
Systems are composed of computers such as servers, thin clients, printers,
laptops, and other similar devices, in addition to their software.
?        Maintain All non-medical computers, including servers, clients, and
standalone systems
?        Ensure all computers are routinely inspected for necessary hardware
and software upgrades every month
?        Ensure essential systems are fully functional at all times
including practice management system, primary domain controller, and the NT
Terminal Servers

4)      Researches solutions to provide better service to company:
10%
?        Part time employee will assist in researching the appropriate
solutions to larger problems if and when all other assigned tickets are
complete.  This will include performance tuning, new technologies, and any
other requested information.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or
significant progress toward a degree in one of these fields
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Ability to trouble shoot problems related to information systems to an
intermediate level.
Excellent Communication skill for interaction with team members.
Strong writing skills to facilitate clear and concise documentation.
