I've got an Apache web server set up at home. I'm using a CGI Perl script to host a CGI proxy for surfing the web while keeping my anonymity. Everything works great. The one thing I have not been unable to do is to surf to web pages requiring secure connections, HTTPS sites. I've tried setting up security certificates from several Certificate Authorities. They all want loads of money for the service. I know this is required for banks and full time businesses needing to protect credit card numbers and passwords. Does anyone know of a cheap or free way to set up SSL or SSH security for my home web server?
