Some nice towns and eateries looking out over the ocean. Perfect if you take as much of the coast road as you can, and take your time. Sunset over the Pacific ocean isn't to be missed. Especially with a loved one.
An alternative also interesting is to Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and San Jose, cut across to the coast. Lunch in Monterey, and then back along the coast. Just my thoughts. Alan.
