No, but I did goto to the LONI forum in Baton Rouge today.  Some
interesting talks about the converging LONI and NLR networks (LONI will be
a 10 gigabit/sec statewide fiber network).  It was cool to see all the
research going on in the state, and why they need so much bandwidth.  
There was a great talk on LIGO and gravitational waves... this speaker
mentioned that when fully operational, LIGO will be logging a terabyte of
data per DAY (thus the need for a high speed network to move it all
around!).  Pretty sweet...  Shannon when are we doing another LIGO tour?!

Governor Blanco showed up for a surprise visit, and pledged to fund LONI 
at $4million/year for the next 10 years.  The forum continues on friday at 
the Pennington center in BR.
