Yeah - more bandwidth is never a bad thing :-) All I needed was faster file transfers on my lan. Although it is a "home" network - I work at home and have to deal with install cd isos, ghost images of test machines and vmware sessions ALOT - any decrease in transfer time makes a difference.
Not to mention that (if all goes well) in about 6 months there will be a nice hardware raid 5 file server over here so I could feed two or three (maybe four) machines from the file server and not choke the net.
