Here on my desk at work, I have a laptop running XP and a desktop
running an install of Knoppix 3.6. I was tired of having two
keyboards and mice, so I found Synergy.

Synergy consists of a client and server app that runs on both machines
and allows one keyboard and mouse to control both computers. I still
have two monitors (the laptop and a 17"), but my laptop keyboard and
usb mouse controls both machines. All I have to do is run the mouse
off of the right side of the screen and the mouse starts moving on the
Linux box. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, cut & paste works across
machines too!

Enjoy!
