What's got you stuck?  

With KDE goodies like Guidedog, Guarddog and distributions like Smoothwall, 
Mepis, Suse and any other modern version, it's hard to think of anything 
that's really hard to do with Linux anymore.  New hardware may be difficult, 
but everything else is easy.  When you add up the time spent with the install 
and rebooting a crashed system Linux is easier.
