Dear Abby,
My friends all laugh at me because I chose to use only software that
has passed stringent litmus tests for political purity. I used to run
Windows but moved to Linux after I discovered that a Republican hasn't
won the presidential vote in Washington State since 1984. Initially, I
was very please with my switch to Linux, but recently I have begun to
have doubts about my decision - especially in the light of Justice
Departments investigation into the inclusion of commands such as "f*ck"
and the use of "SYN" packets for almost all communications - clearly an
invitation for the forces of evil ( and I don't mean just Steve Ballmer,
clearly a French name derived from B' La Mere ) to enter into intimate
exchanges with my operating system through a female receptacle in the
rear of my network interface card.
Dear Abby, can you recommend an ideologically pure operating
system? Should I use MSDOS 1.0 or CP/M? Which is The One True Distro?
Awesome response, Edmund! And, a great analogy too! There is a diplomat among
us!
