On other Linux mailing lists, I have been called a "socialist", a "communist", a "damned liar", and a "dirty linux hippy" for merely suggesting that Free software was an important concept ethically, rather than just financially. I stopped using those lists, not because I was being attacked for my principles, but because I don't want to, in any way, support any parts of the Linux community that doesn't fully support and endorse the Free Software philosophy. It's hard to escape politics when some of the founding philosophies behind Linux were political in nature. David Jackson
