I must agree, it is a most excellent article! The author states "The typical desktop user doesn't want to become a computer expert to do their work. They do not want to learn a new operating system to get their work done. They want an easy way to access the tools they need to get their job done and they need a robust and reliable environment to run their applications." The key words in the above statement are "typical desktop user" and I could not agree more. Keeping this in mind has been the reason that we have seen distros like Mepis, Knoppix, Lycoris, Libranet, ELX, Xandros and others come to the marketplace and enjoy the success that they have enjoyed so far.
