Wow, how hot does your attic get? Obviously check the operating specs on
whatever you put up there. It may be rated to operate at up to 120F.
Say your attic only gets up to 110F during the day, but drops to 60F at
night. That 50 degree change every 12 hours is MUCH more stressful on
electronics than running at a constant 120F (constant
expansion/contraction). You could get something to monitor the attic
temperature.

I had some time this weekend and wired up my Matrix Orbital LED to watch
net traffic and server closet temperature. It'll email me if the temp
gets too high. Check it out. I am using a DS1820 iButton for the
temperature, connects to 1 serial port. LED is on other serial port.
RS232 data and 5v power for the LED run on the same cat5 from closet to my
desk. http://www.r-a-y.org/im001626.jpg

Anyway i couldn't find any SOHO routers with multiple LAN interfaces like
you want. A few have dual WAN interfaces though. Might need more of a
"real" router ala Cisco to get that, which would cost a few hundred bucks.
I'd just hang a cheap switch off the DSL modem.
