Sheri Zorzi's mentioned this on the Clickers Radio Show for the last few weeks, and the time is almost here!
The User Group special event at CompUSA tomorrow (Thursday) from 7am to 9am. Coffee, doughnuts, and door prizes. Hopefully some special deals, too. I'm glad to see this. CompUSA chain used to basically ignore user groups. Now, as a Corporate decision, they've decided that wasn't in their best interest. CompUSA nationally has now partnered with APCUG - the Association of PC User Groups -- and is hosting some events like this for local user groups and user group members. Last week they held an event for Mac users (poor things). This week is for the good guys and girls that use PCs. The event will also be open for non-members. Clickers will have a membership table, a Powerpoint show on a plasma-screen TV (provided for the event by CompUSA), and an opportunity to talk to potential new members. Hope you all can make it! This is a good chance to get CompUSA deals and join the Cajun Clickers Computer Club. If you're not aware, Cajun Clickers has a Linux SIG lead by our own Will HIll. -- Terry Stockdale -- Baton Rouge, LA http://www.terrystockdale.com
