I don't know what this thread is about ( I didn't read the whole thing), but I did read about fixing "mom" up with linux. For what it's worth, my grandma (84) is running ubuntu linux connected to a scan converter that displays it on her TV, and she is using a logitech wireless mouse/keyboard to surf the net from her chair. She seems to like it, and is not having any trouble. I also gave a computer to my step-sister running ubuntu and she likes it too, and is learning that she can't just download anything and run exe files, but it already provides everything she needs.
