I'd heard it could be done and now I know for myself. A few months ago, I had trouble finding a screenshot of windows 3.1 running under dosbox. There were several posts from people who claim it can be done, but no picture.
I tried it under Sarge myself and it did not work. All manner of configuration loops and hoops did not work for me, so I give up. Today, I tried version 0.63 with Sid and it did work. All I did was make an image of an old windows 3.1 drive and place it in a directory called dos, apt-get install dosbox and type "dosbox dos" .
