Let's pick somewhere else.  Deano's is way overpriced in my opinion -- no 
atmosphere, no privacy, and as noted, the group couldn't function as 
anything other than multiple small conversations.

Check the Casa Maria on Bluebonnet -- they have a small-ish side room that 
they might be willing to let us use on a slow night.   Then, we can have 
chips & margaritas, too, in addition to good food.
