You assume correctly John. For once. Bwahahahahaha. Sorry that was a early morning (for me) error in judgment. Looking back at it, im not sure why I decided to write that to the list. My girlfriend had already left that morning and I guess I had no one to vent to, or something.
Speaking on that windows 2003 is more secure, it most certainly is, shipping with IIS turned off (finally) and locked down, as well as most other silly services such as messenger off; nice little things like delegation of control so you don't have to give out domain admin to everyone that needs to add a workstation to the domain, effective permissions, forcing LanMan version 2 instead of the older easily cracked one, blah, blah. Not that its secure by any means. But its more secure than it used to be. I don't think anyone can deny that. Still, I don't really know what its doing behind the scenes, so I would never trust it to sit on the internet un-firewalled. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Hebert Sent: Tuesday, January 25, 2005 6:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: ring tone ads? out of context? wth? was RE: moderated debate: Linuxvs. Microsoft wasRe:[brlug-general]$BIG_NUM (was SupportingLinux vs. Linux Zealotry) Um, huh? I assume this is out of context to this discussion thread. Hey Chris, help us all out when you change the topic by changing the subject of your reply. And no, I haven't noticed.
