The Vonage service is actually for my wife, so I just had to jump in after the preliminaries were out of the way. Turned out that we had to change the MAC address of Vonage's VoIP box to a device (laptop) that had already successfully received an IP via DHCP from Cox. Now I can join the ranks and say from experience: Cox sux. ;) VoIP works great now, and my home now has redundant broadband Internet connections via Eatel and Cox. Cox is running a great deal down here in Ascension trying to compete with Eatel ($9.95/month for broadband for 3 months). Hopefully Eatel's fiber will be installed before the three months are up.
