Yup, even people who call themselves sci-fi fans don't seem to know him. Maybe I'm just not hanging around with the right people. Then you have to tell them he wrote Blade Runner, and they are interrested, but then you mention Total Recall, Paycheck, Imposter, Screamers, and Minority Report. They lose interest pretty fast. You might have "do androids dream..." but do you have a copy of william s burroughs "blade runner: a movie"?
