That's an interesting and balanced review.  The overall opinion is that only 
real MS Office experts will notice a difference but that features of OO not 
present in Office make their effort worth while.  The high praise for OO's 
tight integration, looks and smoothness are deserved for OO1 and I'm curious 
about how much nicer OO2 is.  

The only think I can fault the author for is this:

"We recommend that you make the transition in small stages. The first stage, 
and one of the most essential ones, is getting used to OpenOffice."

I recommend jumping right in.  The "shock" of the new interface is no worse 
than the change from 98 to 2000 or XP, for example, and more than made up for 
by system stability and a long list of useful features that may never make it 
to a Microsoft GUI.  Users who can do without their Legacy software should 
run Mepis.  Those who must run applications like ACT or IE to get their job 
done should use a commercial version of Xandros and run those applications 
under Crossover Office.
