I think the ASP based online software model is a good
one. If anything, you know your software is up to date
and can follow you where ever you have a web browser
and internet connectivity. Many others have been
thinking about and proposing the same idea for a few
years now. I believe even Microsoft has stated in the
past that it intends to go that route. I guess it is a
matter of PC capability and market acceptance.

Concerning making OpenOffice into an online web app;
since OO is written in Java, providing an applet
interface is at least doable. I'll bet other OO
developers have considered the same idea. Check the OO
