It is now called SACS (www.sacs.org, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). The name change probably came about when they started accrediting K-12 public and private schools. Southeastern is in the middle of SACS reaccreditation now. I think it happens every 10 years, and a lot of federal and state funds rely on accreditation, so it's pretty important. SACS is for the entire university. Individual departments can also be accredited. I believe ABET (www.abet.org, Association Board for Engineering and Technology) is the org that does computer science accreditation.
