I can't comment on Cox's box, but I would suggest springing for a
TiVo. From what I've heard, if you only ever use a cableco's DVR, you
think it's great, but it's near-impossible to go from TiVo to a
Scientific Atlanta or Motorola because of all the little TiVo features
that you don't even notice.

You can get a 40-hour TiVo for $100 after rebate and the monthly
charge is only $1 more than with Cox. And if 40 hours isn't enough,
pop in a new hard drive, up to dual 300GB!
