I use hypermail to generate archives, and htdig to index them.

K3B's tools are copy dvd, format dvd-rw/dvd+wr, burn dvd-iso image and encode 
video.  I don't know what they really do because I don't have a burner.  I 
imagine they can take the output of programs like kino and put it onto DVD  
for you.
