Hey guys! I'm starting a **free** weekly computer newsletter called "Terry's Computer Tips". If you are interested, you can sign up for it at http://www.terryscomputertips.com . The first issue comes out this next Monday, June 20th, so sign up by Monday morning at the latest.
I'm using php-based DadaMail, which has a double-opt-in process -- you sign up via the website and then click on a confirmation link in the confirming email. Installation was pretty smooth, but required manually editing the config file. Newlsetter content will include both Windows and Linux (probably mostly Windows but who knows -- depends on the interest of the readers -- there is a Linux section in the first issue) and will include tips, questions & answer about Windows and Linux; about free, shareware and commercial software products; hardware and software products and issues; home computer security; home networking; new developments in the computer world; and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). Of course, I will welcome comments and contributions from readers -- so any of you who want to send short Linux-related articles, send them on... By the way, let's get more folks showing up for the BRLUG Geek-together. The next one is July 13th according ot the website. There were only 5 of us at Brewbacher's recently but we had a good time. -- Terry Stockdale -- Baton Rouge, LA My website: http://www.terrystockdale.com My blog: http://www.TheNextWindow.com
