No, he's a supreme court justice in Montanna.  Those are typically appointed 
for life, but your milage varies by state.

It's not a good idea even if it's only used to fill a file or get a warrent to 
raid your house.  It's a waste of public money to dig through trash on a 
whim, and it's offensive.  A raid is not something you want.

They used a good case to get a bad principle enacted.  The judge realized that 
and complained without actually standing up for himself.
