Well it's not exactly hard to detect if a box is x86 or x86_64 is it? I'm not certain of keyboard detection abilities, but if the user chooses "104 key US" as their keyboard during X install then it's reasonable to think that all 104 keys would be utilized. I do know that on my sparc install, they keyboard in /etc/rc.conf defaults to a sun keyboard just as on my x86 box it defaults to a pc style keyboard. So I'm thinking it's not hard to take that a step further and default the configs for common X environments. Yeah, it's a small detail, but those are the nice touches that users appreciate. > > _______________________________________________ > General mailing list > [email protected] > http://brlug.net/mailman/listinfo/general_brlug.net > -- Scott Harney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Asking the wrong questions is the leading cause of wrong answers" gpg key fingerprint=7125 0BD3 8EC4 08D7 321D CEE9 F024 7DA6 0BC7 94E5
