We're up in Shenandoah -- power for the Entergy customers came on
about 8pm last night and for we DEMCO customers about midnight. Cox
cable TV and Cox's cable Internet were up when we got up this morning
(didn't check at midnight).

Power to Shenandoah DEMCO customers went off about 6:20am. With it
happening that long before the winds hit -- and with restoration
almost exactly at midnight -- it makes me wonder if someone didn't
pull a switch. I had checked on the storm about 2am and decided we
wouldn't have problems until 11 or so. HAD I KNOWN the power would
cut that early, I would have at least turned off my home theater pc
and BREWED SOME COFFEE FOR MORNING!

ANDREW -- we need a report on how the Cox Internet Telephone survived
during the outage. My Bellsouth line never faltered. I even used it
(with my backup dialup account at BudgetDialup.com, $5.95 for 10
hours good for a year) to send my computer tips newsletter yesterday.
