I also use openssl to generate certs signed by our CA, mainly for OpenVPN 
client cert generation.  I've also extracted the CA cert from our 
eDirectory tree for SSL LDAP connections.  But those are different CA's, 
so nothing on an enterprise level for managing certificates.

We also have Managed PKI from Verisign for our SSL certificates...  it is 
all web-based stuff from Verisign though.
