I don't think that would happen to anyone. Developers are paid for their ability to apply algorithms & processes in the form of code, not memorize one language over another. If M$ went belly up overnight, people would move to another platform/language/whatever and solve problems with that new solution. If Linux, Windows, whatever disappeared overnight it would take a bit of migration time, but life would go on, and any developer worth his salary would adapt.
