Most of Algiers and the French Quarter appear to be back to normal, as do parts of Uptown. But there are pockets of wind damage still visible. Getting from one pant of the city to another can be pretty grim--some stoplights still aren't working and the potholes are getting worse. Some organizations are functioning fully, others not at all. Many businesses aren't open due to lack of workers and/or customers.
I moved from Algiers to Spanish Town in December and I now try to avoid every trip back that I can.
