I updated to ubuntu dapper, and got the bcm43xx driver, which loaded, but won't let me scan for networks, or associate, so its useless.
I think I am just going to go ahead and buy a intel 2200 for $30 shipped from newegg. you can get them much cheaper from ebay, but im lazy
