Hello!
(Forgive the off-topic nature, but I figure there might be some
potential blender-heads, amongst the Linux-heads! :) )
I'd like to announce my intent to start a Blender Users' Group.
Blender is a freeware 3D, modeling, and animation package, available for
all popular computer platforms. It allows for modeling 3D scenes,
texturing, rendering, and dynamic animation, including skeleton rigging,
keyframe, fluid and cloth simulation, as well as a physics "game
engine".
It is very well supported by its world-wide user community, with on-line
tutorials, documentation, and steady active code-development.
Since there is little time left before dead week, I suspect the first
actual meeting will be in January. However, I'd like to measure the
interest by asking you to send an Emsg to:
haag at lsu.edu (with "mudBUG" in the subject!)
letting me know of your interest, what you'd like to see the group
do, and
what you'd like to contribute to the group! Let me also ask you to
please
forward this message far and wide to solicit interest beyond the
confines
of LSU.
Kind regards,
Alaric
