I'd say they have already made havoc on the network and that and physical data security is a joke in most situations. The secretary's computer is like most. More than 90% have spyware. It has an average time to "hijack" of four minutes. I doubt it's better off than the hundreds of computers at the Department of Defense that were turned into spambots or worse. If it were not for all of those unwilling hosts, you would not have to filter so much spam, would not have to pay off DoS blackmail and the many other fine uses criminals have for them.
