On a Fedora box also, just about all the configuration commands start 
with 'system-config-' so on a bash prompt you could type: 
system-config<tab><tab> and it will show you what commands you could 
auto-complete.

On another note, I hear that XFCE is a really good middle-weight desktop 
environment. Not as heavy as GNOME and KDE, but a lot more features than 
something like fluxbox. You might want to give that a try. It's 
available via the 'yum' interface for installing.
